Greetings From Georgia
We're now outside of Atlanta, Georgia on the last trek of our tour of the south visiting my (Karen) family...here are a couple of pictures of our adventures thus far...
Lucy and her 'uncle' Bandit, my parent's dog enjoying a boat ride
Laughing at Clay's hair blowing in the wind...he has not had a haircut since before his return from Afghanistan

Back from the Bahamas...
We spent last week at Cable Beach, Nassau, Bahamas enjoying good food, good drinks, sunshine and surf. A honeymoon of sorts (in typical Army fashion, we only had two days after our wedding before Clay had to report back to base), it was nice to escape and just relax after spending 16 months apart. The weather was gorgeous all five days with the temperature in the 80's and a nice breeze...no bad weather in sight. The locals were wonderfully nice and we really enjoyed the beach and walking around the capital district of The Bahamas.

We're not sure if this tattoo parlor is taking the right advertising approach...it reads: Anna Nicole and Howard Stern came to the Tattoo King for tattoos of Danylynn, Daniel and Anna. See one of Anna'a Tattoo by The Tattoo King.
Outside the Foreign Ministry. It was so different seeing understated buildings for the national government...a sharp contrast to the majority of governments around the world.
An estimated 3.3% are living with HIV/AIDS in the Bahamas...we found this sign humorous but yet effective

Road Trip...Part One
We're here in warm Wilmington, NC enjoying the ocean, sunshine, and family. The drive down was long (15 hours) and filled with I-95 holiday traffic but we made it here just fine. Our animals are making themselves comfortable and Desi even found his way into the car engine (the joy of cats...). The beach is treating us well and Clay has not been eaten by a shark so all is going well...we're not complaining. Harry and Meredith arrived hours before us and Martha, Madison, and Luke will arrive tomorrow. Here are some pictures thus far...
Lucy in Washington, DC soaking in history...
Desi in the car engine...
After Meredith, Harry and us took in a viewing of Live Free and Die Hard, we came across a group of teenagers anxiously awaiting to watch Transformers The Movie. We also saw a man waiting a tuxedo jacket (complete with tails) and rugby socks...nice!
